Speculative Fiction & Children's Writer
About Me...
Sally Gales writes speculative fiction for both children and adults. An ex-architect turned writer, she earned a doctorate in Creative Writing from the University of Glasgow. Sally currently lives in Scotland, where she teaches both creative writing and academic writing skills at the university level.
Sally is working on various projects at the moment. She is currently querying a YA, science-fantasy novel about a girl who grew up being taught to hate everything and everyone to do with the Outside, but in a last ditched effort to find a place where she belongs, ends up banished to the very place she fears. She is writing a middle-grade fantasy re-imagining of Alice in Wonderland meets Pokemon about two sisters at odds. And she continues to dabble in her short story work.
When not writing she can be found hiking, walking her greyhound, climbing with her partner, or even winning local baking competitions.
